In Torrelodones, Madrid, a single-family home over basement, ground and first floor around 160 m² designed by architect Rafael García Rubí and built with the Xpanel system: clean volumes, a cantilevered upper floor, and one continuous monolithic envelope that works as structure and insulation at once.
The result is a high-performance home thermal comfort far above a standard build, at the cost of a standard one in architecture that looks effortless. Even a six-month stoppage caused by a third party couldn’t derail it: the actual build took just 7–8 months, fast enough to absorb what would sink a conventional site.
