On February 6th, 2026, we had the pleasure of welcoming the team from Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat (CTBUH) to the Xpanel factory, in a visit hosted by David Milligan and attended by around 30 engineering professionals.

The day began with a technical presentation delivered by Mamerto Gamboa, Global Technical Officer, where we explored the engineering principles behind Xpanel, its structural capabilities, and the role advanced panelized systems can play in the future of construction.

Following the presentation, the group joined a factory tour, where we showcased the machinery manufacturing process and the full Xpanel production line, providing a first-hand look at how precision engineering and industrialized construction come together to deliver faster, more efficient building solutions.

The visit then continued at Modular Innovations, the internal DAMAC Properties company focused on modular production. There, the CTBUH delegation explored a wide range of modular solutions including modular housing systems, community assets, pods, and integrated modular MEP solutions, demonstrating how modular construction can scale across different building typologies.

During the visit, Mark Campbell from Modular Innovations shared insights on the decision to adopt Xpanel technology, highlighting the value of the technical support and the seamless integration of the system into modular production workflows.

We look forward to sharing reflections from CTBUH on their experience, as well as their perspective on the Modular Innovations factory and products, and the potential impact that these technologies could have on the future of the construction industry.

Days like this reinforce an important idea: innovation grows faster when engineering, manufacturing, and industry leaders come together in the same place.
